WCHX 105.5: Lewistown and Indian Valley games
WRSC 1390: State College games?
WMAJ 1450: any games?
WTRN 1340: Tyrone games

WMAJ has covered SC football for over 40 years, this year is no different. WBLF may do Centre County Game of the Week....that's not 100% finalized yet. But WMAJ is doing State High, WRSC won't have games on the air.

WRTA in Altoona and WVAM in Holidaysburg will have one or the other, there are rumblings that WVAM wants Altoona games this season. I believe WFBG will have Guilfoyle as well, and WMAJ is also picking up the Radio PA Scoreboard show every Friday night and they will be streaming on MSA (and likely Pennlive too)<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by Ethomas626 on 08/13/05 04:05 PM.</FONT></P>
 
Don't forget WPHB--they'll be doing Philipsburg-Osceola. And if/when Magnum closes on WBLF, I'm sure they'll carry Bellefonte High. Doesn't 95.7/WMRF also carry Lewistown? BTW, are the Du Bois Beavers the only HS team in the state with their games on a 50,000 watt FM (102.1/WOWQ)?

That's a funny tidbit about DuBois, but year I think you are right.

I dunno how the hell I forgot WPHB. Good thing you reminded everyone about their stuff. Todd does a bang up job on sports over there.

Is the Bellefonte thing for sure? I had heard from Todd over at PHB they were thinking of doing Center County GOTW on there? Makes sense if they do Bellefonte though, it's a natural fit. That area will be very well covered if that all shakes out.

If I were the Magnum folks, I wouldn't be doing a county game of the week on 970 ... again, the signal is so piss-poor at night -- well, actually it's GOOD for the amount of wattage they pump out after dark, but it still doesn't get out that far -- that anything other than Bellefonte games wouldn't make sense in my eyes. But what do I know?

And I really like the Radio PA Scoreboard Show. I hope WMAJ will air both hours.

(P.S. Does anyone know what's happening with Penn State football? Now that the 1390/970 combo is broken up, and 1390, 1450 and 93.7 are in the same building, who gets the rights? I know 1450 is definitely on board, maybe Eric can fill in on the others. I noticed that 1390 didn't air any PSU basketball this winter, even before the Forever/2510/Dame deal went down.)

In Cambria County WWGE carries Bishop Carroll, Central Cambria & Penn Cambria
HS Game of the week.

Yes, PSU will be def. be on WMAJ. And Scoreboard 2005 and Tailgate 2005 are going to air as well. As far as I know 93.7 is carrying PSU as well.

I am about 99.9% sure that all two hours of RoPa will air on Friday nights after State High is over. I don't see why they would cut it because its not like MAJ does a sign off or anything at night. (Hopefully I'll be working with Mark and WMAJ again this season, I'm still trying to figure some things out on my end).

Also the Eagles will be on WMAJ this NFL season and the Steelers move over to one of the FMs. Good move picking up the Eagles. Eagles are big in SC among the college students. Lots of Philly people on campus.

Nope...Wellsboro Green Hornet football is broadcast on not only WNBT-AM but is sometimes broadcast on WNBT-FM/104.5(The Buzz - named after....you guessed it)....a 50,000 watt Cary Simpson station
...i used to do play by play for a season when I worked for them there...if you go sit at the top of pine grove mountain you can get it clear as a bell everyday....

I am not sure about Huntingdon and Clearfield stations.
