High School Reunion Question

While channel surfing the other day, I came across TVL's "High School Reunion". It was an episode where a high school class from Dallas, TX, had its reunion... in *Maui* (or somewhere in Hawaii).

My question: Whose idea was it to have this reunion 3,000+ miles from Big D? Viacom's or someone else's? And since this was "HSR", who paid for the airline tickets?

I'm just guessing, somewhat educatedly, that the money for the transportation came from a combination of payment to the producers from Viacom and the proverbial old "Promotional Considerations" from sponsors.

Which would you rather see on TV: Hawaii or Dallas? ???

It's like asking if you'd rather see Vanessa Redgrave or Jessica Alba. :)
