So, this Highly Confidential Memo from Richie Rich found it's way into my fat little fingers from several of the many disgruntled employees ... It's a super read ... I thought the few people left over on Plum should see what he really means.

Subject: Changes!

I wanted to give you an update on several exciting changes:

The WSYR News operation gets a big pat on the back and is given some new responsibilities within the company. WSYR has been made a "news hub". We now produce and anchor newscasts for other cities. As of today, Syracuse produces and anchors midday for WHJJ in Providence, RI, and afternoon drive news for Sussex, NJ. In an interesting blend of talents, we have asked Rachel Marisay and Amber Taylor join forces with our newsroom to help anchor newscasts in these markets. Congratulations to Dave and our excellent news team.

More specifics to be announced soon, but we can now report that the Air Traffic department will be taking on several additional markets providing data and/or voiced reports. Several of those new markets will begin on Monday. You will see some building construction taking place shortly on the fourth floor as Total Traffic Network expands into the former computer lab area. Syracuse joins Boston as the only Traffic hubs in Mike Crusham's region in the Northeast. Kudos to Kathy Denman and the outstanding TTN staff.

We have finalized our lineup changes on Y94FM. Our day starts with "The Kathy Rowe Show" and Marne Mason permanently joins the show. The midday airshift is now filled by Rachel Marisay. Rachel adds to her collection of voicetracking shifts and will add this new airshift to her responsibilities starting after Christmas.

B104.7 has also finalized the lineup with Amber Taylor extending her air shift until 3pm. I will now be on the air on 3-7pm. We now start the syndicated Lia show at 7pm instead of 9. Lia will air 7-midnight.

A few more announcements to come in the next few weeks. For now, congratulations. It is exciting to see our cluster receive such a great vote of confidence. It is an awesome responsibility and great opportunity to shine by providing our talent and services to other markets in the company.

Bone's Managerial Translation:

Paragraph #1: OMG, I have never seen as much red ink as that TTN. The regional guy is covering his butt by having us spread those salaries in other markets. Wasn't I smart to kiss his butt by mentioning him in this memo just in case Joel doesn't make it.

Paragraph #2: We're calling the show "The Kathy Rowe Show" because I'm still uncomfortable with Marne since we may have to wack her in a month. This chick Rachel has a good voice maybe we'll put her on another station hopefully she wont squawk about $7.50 an hour.

Paragraph #3: See earlier Amber Taylor comment. Plus, I'll stay on the air until midnight if I have to, so I wont get wacked.

Paragraph #4: Yes, there will be a few more announcements in January ... for instance, "We Wish You The Best Of Luck In Your Future Endevours."

actually most radio traffic divisions are cash cows. they are likely not necessarily spreading salaries into the other markets but the smaller surrouding markets are probably CUTTING THEIR OWN costs and the hub is taking up the slack

Dear Rich,

How many young babes ... the exploitation of women continues in the world of radio. Why is it that the ladies continue to suck up to the likes of Lauber, CC and Levine? I don't get it.

I love (LOVE) how it's spun to seem like the greatest thing ever!!!!! OMG aren't we lucky to take on sooooo much more work and get paid very little! Look I have a new tittle for the resume ::). Watch out Radio Air, soon they will convince you to pay them.
