Highway 102

Well - Southeastern Ohio has yet another country station.

A few weeks ago WHIZ Media Group bought WCVZ and started simulcasting it with their 102.5 signal.

This morning the 102.5 signal is now "Highway 102" - Today's Current Country (although all I had heard is older stuff) and the 92.7 signal has their "Today's Hits & Yesterday's Favorites".

Which begs one to ponder - is this for the buyer when they move or do they not have a buyer and they need to make more $$$$$. Last I heard they can not get past the zoning issues for the move.

I know for sure that 102.3 is considered a secondary service so they would have to sign off when 102.5 moves to Baltimore. As for 102.1 I think they are considered secondary as well, but that is 2 channel seperation so they may be ok. Look at WOBN-FM in Westerville...they are now at 97.5, 2 channels away each from WBNS and WNCI.

From what I was told by the WHIZ Media Group, WCRS-LP is going to be allowed to stay right where they are.
I didn't ask but believe the Hawk translator on 102.3 will be no more once/if 102.5 moves to Columbus.
 
So where can we find out if 102.5 is going to move in to the columbus market? Does anyone know the latest info on this?
Will the station build the cp before it expires? Can they (whiz) reapply for another cp? another location?
