Hilarious Ozzy bit on MMR

MMR is running a hilarious bit parodying Ozzy Osbourne doing a musical of the Wizard of Oz, with Ozzy music in it. It's hard to describe, but it's funny as hell. I heard it Friday and again today and they have it posted on the front page of their website. Check it out. I laughed out loud about 10 times. But do yourself a favor, if you want to hear it, don't listen for it on the air, go to the website instead. MMR is doing a friggin' hair band weekend. I can tolerate a hair band song here and there, but blocks of it every hour is way too much my ears. That music was a novelty 20 years ago. It was cute, but it's over. I put the station on while I was cleaning out the garage and finally had to shut off the radio and go get the boombox with the CD player in it. It's a shame they had to ruin a whole weekend to support the Twisted Sister show. I know, I know, it was a benefit for a guy who needs a new liver or something, but the concert was on Friday. How does playing hair band music for 2 more days help that cause? Has anybody ever done a hair band oldies station? Maybe Greater Mediocre should try that next on WBEN.

thanks for the tip. kudos to Joe Conklin. IMO his Ozzy impression is one of his best, and whoever produced it did a helluva job. I haven't heard much from Conklin since they dumped the Philly Guys show, but in the past week he did 2 very funny Ozzy bits, last week he did a parody commercial for an Ozzy record for kids called "My First Ozzy".

I dont care for much hair metal either but on friday at rush hr when this thing started my friend and I were captivated by Whitesnake's Slow And Easy. I guess it was temporary insanity.

The odd hair band tune here and there for nostalgia's sake is o.k. I'm all for diiversity, but listeninng to it for hours proved to be a bit too much for me. It seems like too small of a niche, but maybe MMR knows something I don't. I just know what I like...and don't.
