Hillary

Does any know if WILK or WVIA is going to cover Hillary on Monday at the Scranton High School?

It sure would be easy enough to do. But with it would come an obligation to do McCain if/when he visits, same for Obama, Paul, etc. Equal Time would apply here, right? My bet is that only one of the two you mentioned will do it.

Equal Time doesn't cover news, although you sort of nod to it. That is, a major candidate would get more face time than, say, Ron Paul. If WVIA or someone gave time for a discussion, then I think the equal time provisions would kick in.

Anybody have ideas as to how the candidates would do a pledge push for WVIA?

Ron Paul: "Call the number on your screen to keep the government from spending public money for just one network."

Hillary: "Support public television and support the only candidate with an active uterus."

Barack: "Make this race matter, but not a matter of race -- and send your green to this public television station."

McCain: "I missed five years of television and they said I didn't miss anything. Pledge to this station so I can see all those doo-wop shows."
