WLFJ in Greenville, SC has translators INSIDE the 60dbu. Religious stations tend to oversaturate.
Unlike the other Christian stations, though, this one actually plays MUSIC. When it plays music.wncc said:And 93.5 BBN ;D
I get that on WAVO. Actually, it's kind of refreshing to hear a newscast that deals with moral issues instead of celebrity fluff. Mike Huckabee does that too in his commentary.hschutte said:Also, these types of stations create biased news networks {SRN news}. Not my cup of tea, sorry.
This has been covered on this site. 97.1 is a translator for the HD-2 channel, which has different programming. The AM station previously simulcast WSIM but now simulcasts that HD-2 channel.amos said:you wanna see a station with translators that do apparently nothing for them?
look at WSIM 93.7 in Lamar, SC. it's around 15 miles to darlington, and 20 to florence.
they have translators licensed to both florence and darlington, 97.1 and 98.9. 93.7 and 97.1 are on the same tower, and it's only 4.3 miles to 97.1's tower.
it sure looks to me that all the parent's signal (93.7) completely covers both translators, while the translators dupliate each others coverage in most areas.
there must be some reason they're there, but i sure can't see it. the pee-dee river area is awfully flat.
