Hip Hop 104?...

I decided to post this here since the Dallas board is so biased. This is what K104 has been calling themselves lately. Also, they have added mixes to their morning show, and mini-mixes at the top of each hour on Julio G.'s show. Why the change all of a sudden?

I dont know what is going on in Dallas but I will say, All these city boards are damn near Racist. Post a local Urban station on any of these city boards, and watch all the crappy response .

I think that they are looking at their rival (the beat) and are trying to re-brand themselves. K-104 needs to change back to where it was around the mid-90's.

RAPKING, AIN'T DAT DA TRUTH. BUT, 97.9 THE BEAT IS THE TRUE HIP-HOP STATION IN DALLAS. I GUESS K-104 WILL FOCUS ON HIP-HOP AND THE SISTER STATION K-R&B 105.7 WILL PLAY ALL THE R&B.

And here I am thinking the Dallas board is the only "Good Ol' Boy" board on Radio-Info....

I totally agree, but believe it or not, K104 breaks the new hip hop before 97.9 do. I know I heard Trap Squad Cartel's, "So Icey" on K104 way before I heard it on The Beat.

I noticed 104 has added a couple of 90's jams to their playlist. They are sounding really good right now.

Now they are back in the top spot. Way to go K104! I think you deserve to be #1 this time.

The thing about how "others" view Urban radio is how "we" portray ourselves in mainstream media and society. If all you see is bling bling and britches down to your ankles, then what will your opinion be.
Perception ain't right, but it's real.

Speaking of which K-104 has a new stereo stream with a new provider of Liquid Compass. The previous stream from Stream Audio was a mono feed. :)

For the time being anyway, sister KRNB is still with Streamaudio. The Gospel HD2 station of KRNB is also streaming with Liquid Compass from the KRNB and K104 websites.

Now, if they can stream the HD2 station, how about a stream of KKDA-AM Soul 73, one of my favorite stations in entire the country. I would absolutely adore having a stream of this station. I tape it whenever I go to Dallas.
