Josh, first of all, the rimshot your talking about is one of our new rimshots that (hoping with everything that I got) will finally launch formats on the two rimshots. (KBRU 101.5 & KSIR 107.1 for those who don't know what I am talking about). KBRU has been testing with Classic Rock but we don't know that will actually be the TRUE format. We're just on a waiting game with those two rim shots.
Second, yes KXUU/U102 came on and in a way did eliminate 1510 KDKO but not in a true fashion. KDKO faultered on it's own. KXUU barely felt any impact on Denver radio. And still to this day, 102.1 is a rimshot that can barely be heard in the Denver metro and more or less now it's faded with the launch of NRC's launch of the 102.3 upgrade.
Third, I agree with everyone that we defently need to give KQKS some competition and either a new CHR/RHY or a new Urban station needs to launch in Denver. My fingers are crossed that one of the rimshots will fill that void.<P ID="signature">______________
