Music artists make full albums. Most occasions they have far better tracks on the album then the ONE song a station will play out. So, is it illegal for a radio station to choose songs they are going to play?
I would take a album (Ludacris). Choose 3 to 4 songs. A, B, C, and D it out. A of course being the track the artists pumped money into, which was..."Money Maker". B, would have been "Runaway". C, I would do "War With God" since it also has the underground diss track style (well it is a diss track.) D. I would either choose "Slap", since its unique, or "Grew Up a Screw Up" since it has another Power artist. Grab Snoop's, Jays, Game's, and..MANY more. I will do a couple cause Im bored.

Thats the artists I am playing right now. This works for every artist and every album. I thought the music director's job was to find music. I know it isnt, just I thought it was. A song should never be played twice in a 2- 3 hour period. Thats only a song that is a major major hit. Base it off requests your station actually get. Commercial radio is just weak.
Somebody do something please. Get me back into listening to the radio again. Thats your job!
Now. The normal response I get is:
"Listeners only want to hear the hits."
Well, the listener only knows the hits you play. Create a hit.
"Average listner listens for 20 minutes"
Thats about the time you hear a track you're tired of hearing so many times. SWITCH.
"I dont know SH*T about the industry/You are a jackass!"
I used to listen to radio. So I know what I like to listen to..right?/True.
