HIPPIE SMOKES LIGHTNING ON MUSIC CITY ROOTS

It's official in print, Hippie grabs Music City Roots from RLT starting on April 10th. Preinterim read on their Facebook page (and website) but most interesting points in the article are bigger/better ratings for Hippie vs. Lightning and it seems to be very candid that the Lightning "deal" wasn't such a great deal. Hippie continues to get more of the local flair!

I don't understand how "Music City Roots" will get bigger/better ratings on Hippie over Radio Lightning when the Hippie's signal is almost non-existant east and south-east of Metro. I live in Rutherford County and can pick up Lightning 100 but can't pick-up Hippie 94.5 because the Country Giant 94.7 in Cookeville overpowers it. So I guess I won't be listening to Music City Roots after mid-April.

I had to listen to Retro Lightning online for the last few months that it was on the air because I simply could not get a usable signal here in Cheatham County. I was looking at getting a better antenna for the roof of the house, just so that I could pick it up better, but I was glad that I didn't, once Lightning 100 dropped it. Although Lightning 100 comes in just fine out here on the car radio.

Meanwhile, Hippie continues to pick up programming that doesn't necessarily fit its overall format. First, Even Stevens, and now this.
