I'm not hiding...I'm right there on the wall in your office, listening, taking it all in. In fact, I get around to LOTS of places, not just here at Infinity.
Yep, it was indeed "a cheap shot", the price based on the subject's historic signature "minimilistic" market value. Integrity was never the point at issue. While I'm sure everyone appreciates you springing to his defense, nothing you have said speaks to the root problem: his radio station(s) sound absolutely awful, analog AND digital. I find it ironic (or perhaps enlightened!) that two receivers of different manufacturer refuse to even stop on KRLD when in the seek or scan modes. One stops at 1070's "hiss", skips 1080 entirely, then stops on the "hiss" at 1090. The other radio says bye-bye after leaving 1040, all the way until it sees 1160. What does THAT little problem do to KRLD's ratings? Oh, I forgot...they don't HAVE any.

The operative words you speak are "outward appearances!" This fantastic, so called state-of-the art, technologically advanced wonder-facility he built is about half-functional at best (hence the term "Erik-tile Disfunction") and universally hated by those who work there and must endure it. Not having the ability nor staff to do his own installation, he outsourced the project to a contractor. At press time, the money has expired and the dreaded contractor-blues have set in. And just as those of you on the 5th floor attempt recovery and lick your wounds...WATCH OUT, here he comes again! Same bad choices and concepts to be repeated, as the 7th floor prepares to be gutted for "improvements!"
But maybe, just maybe, things will get better soon. Changes in that department are in the works. Perhaps sooner than later, that cold wind you feel blowing in from the "north" might just turn out to be a breath of fresh air, bringing new (or old?) faces and better times to Fitzhugh. We can all only hope...
So, are you feeling better now Tyler? Oh, that's right...you won't get sucked in to the likes of free exchange and discussion.
