I have to say that this show was good. Plus its nice to see Arrested Development, Tiffany, A Flock Of Seagulls, Loverboy and Cece Peniston back in fine tune again.

I really wanted to watch this, but I forgot to set my DVR to record it. If you hear of any plans to re-air this special (perhaps on one of NBC's sister cable networks?), please let me know.

Bravo Network is airing this Sunday (6/5) at 6pm ET.

I watched this last night and thought it was a well done show. This is probably one of the best ideas for a "reality" show in years! I hope the ratings did well for it since the acts they act on last night would appeal to a pretty broad demographic.

According to NBC.com, "coming soon": Wang Chung, The Knack, Irene Cara, Sophie B. Hawkins, Cameo, Tommy Tutone, Vanilla Ice, The Motels.

I definitely loved this show.

BTW, for those of you that missed it, I did recap it on my site.

Saw the show...time has not been kind to these celebrities (except Tiffany!)

Tiffany was only about 16 years old when she hit the charts in the late 1980's. I believe she's now in her early-to-mid-thirties.

Although emcee Vernon Kay hosted the original British version of "Hit Me Baby 1 More Time" on the ITV network, I wonder why the American version, to keep in the spirit of the competition, wasn't hosted by a person who was a well-known TV personality in the 1980's who was no longer a big name him/herself.

Well, Rick Dees and Kasey Kasem are available!

Especially since Vernon Kay is also virtually unknown in the UK (he is a weekend DJ on BBC Radio 1)

I Thought Loverboy Sounded Like A Bad Wedding Band.

The Singer,Whatever His Name Is, Was Like A Poor Parody Of Himself.

You Can't Blame Old Age. The Eagles Were On The Night Before And

They Sounded Just Like They Did 30 Years Ago.

You obviously love crap TV. I DVRed it. I watched it in 20 minutes
tonight. The guy from Flock of Seagulls was so out of tune it was
embarassing -- he made some of those bad AMerican Idol auditions look
interesting. Loverboy lead singer was equally pathetic. Tiffany
and CeCe were whatever. Arrested Development was very energeitc and
probably deserved to win but look at their competition.

I'll probably record it again next week just because it's just
so bad I kind want to know how really bad it's going to get with
more of those 80's one-hit wonders coming back out of obscurity.

Yes, I am a radio sales weasel but there would
be no programming if it wasn't for loooong commercial breaks. Remmeber that!

Kasem is still doing Kasey's Top 40 and busy voicing Scooby Doo cartoons while Rick Dees is trying to find a new audience for Disco Duck. Doesn't Dees still have a radio show in LA?
______________

Casey's Top 40 became American Top 40 a while back, and Ryan Seacrest took over as host. I think Casey Kasem still hosts American Top *20*, which is on AC & Hot AC stations.

Rick Dees still does the Weekly Top 40. However, he is no longer hosting the morning show on KIIS-FM in L.A. -- Ryan Seacrest took over those duties as well.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, KIIS dropped Dees' Weekly Top 40 in favor of Seacrest's American Top 40 for the weekends...
