They are still airing ads for Jack on the CNN sim sub cut in.
Someone forgot to tell someone something.
They could have filled those spots with CHFI ads or even more 680 news ads if Kiss 92 ads couldn't be ready in time for a switch.
(assuming the spots were already paid for...)

i reeely thought i would pop on here,
and this thread would be 3 or 4 pages long...

any ways,
it is *AWESOME* even though,
the songs, on kiss 92's (10,000)play list
are the same that....
every other station/city/market, ipod,
and video are playing right now/some where...

still very cool to hear a fresh/sound on 92.5
this will be fun and Interesting!
to say the least..

esp. if they start a -rip-fest on CIDC
(ie: dont spend your money, on the 'summer/flush,
come to our concert ; )

or, just dont go w/ the flow...party a lil lower down the dial..
etc, etc...

-why spend your night w/ a virgin, when u can kiss*and tell your
friends....( then, plug the live 2 aire : )

cant wait to see the line up / any thoughts?

No one cares. They flipped back to a format they dumped years ago. Those who listened then have moved on. It wasn't around long enough to have ingrained itself like 1050 CHUM, CFTR or CFNY. The people who would listen to that music now weren't old enough to remember CISS. Even on the SOWNY board, they didn't really seem to care that much.

The real problem is that they went urban for a bit when they shouldn't have.
They should have stayed with the true hit music format right through and never gone Jack or urban in the first place.

As for the rock Jack, I believe they would have had a better share than 1.8 if they dropped Jack and went with a new name like Xfm or Hog or something.
There was nothing there to support the idea that the rock music wasn't just something jack felt like playing ("We play what we want")

I'm guessing they would have had closer to a 3.5 share if they didn't keep the Jack name durring their short rock ride.
 
Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but any word on what happened to Jeff Brown and Karly Classon?
