105.1 WNGA is back as Hits 105 with CHR. I think I also heard "Dawgs' home for the holidays in Gainesville." The signal is good in northern Gwinnett.

Do you know if they are running with their upgrade (1700W to 7000W, same tower, CoL change from Helen to Clermont)?

I'm now hearing Country, Christian AC, and Hot AC in addition to CHR, so this is more of a variety hits format. It should do well in Northeast Georgia. I think it's upgraded. It sounds stronger than the old Georgia 105. Gainesville is also stressed and the upgrade allows it to cover Gainesville with a stronger signal.

I wonder if Clear Channel would want this station back to do a simul of 105.3, now that it has been upgraded.

I'm dying to know how all this sounds together.

The Hot AC material should grab a lot of native Atlanta listeners attention.

I have trying to just watch this thread as a spectator, but I have been it itching to know what song(s) did you hear that you consider Christian AC? Nothing against Christian music, but to my knowledge, there are no Christian AC titles in the library. I guess the country you are talking about would be the crossover stuff like Taylor Swift and Lady A?

Bubba FM seems to be a mix of classic country and classic rock. On the way in this AM they played the following:

"Dust On The Bottle" by David Lee Murphy
"You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC
"Luckenbach, Texas" by Waylon Jennings
"Renegade" by Styx

Since a lot of people who like 70s/80s rock went country when rock went grunge/alt and country went "young/rockin' country" in the 90s, this format makes sense. I wonder how it will do. The 1990s are getting a well-deserved rep as a "golden age" of country, before it got taken back over by AC crossovers as country does every so often.

KJ, just when we thought it was safe to turn on the radio, here you are again. What are you up to? Are you having a good time playing at radio or do you have some sort of plan for the two months you have said you'll have the station on the air? What will the format be next week? I have a large bluegrass library...

Hey Kevin! My last post on a different thread was removed by the moderator and I am not really sure why, so hopefully this will stay up a little longer than the last one.

The long term plan is just what you said... have fun playing radio. I just love that we are still living in a time where people are talking about radio formats. If we had more people fired up like CasualRadioObserver, our business would be in a much better place.

As Bubba would say... ya'll just hang on for the ride!
