You're right. He can throw it all away if he wants. I really don't care. It's just a waste of good potential and I think they've made a lot of people miserable in the process. The best thing would be if the Hilton's sold it to someone who really had a passion for radio. It could happen, yet. We'll see.
 
I agree. Sell it to someone that can make something out of it, rather than continue to employ a self-centered GM who is solely in it for himself. Some good people have gone in those doors over the years, but they also figure things out quickly and soon depart. I have heard from several of those people in recent years that the GM wont allow good people to do what they do best. Too bad.
 
Actually, I think Hiltons Mama owns the whole kit and kabootle

Wilburrrrrrrrr! You know Collins pretty good!.. I have a place on Oak Island and fished it two weeks ago..Caught some pretty nice Red Drum..Been years since I've been to OBX> Caught a 357 # Marlin off of Capt Buddy Davis' Boat in 73..Reckon he is still around?

SO, Hitz94/Majic 94.1 let Carmen go and the wonderful Bob & Leslie got to stay. Another brilliant decision by their GM and Owner! Now Simon has Carmen, and I predict she's going to get them great ratings. They may have to change format first. Carmen is quite a talent, and with the right coach, she'll go far!
 
MM- I agree Carmen will do them a good job at Simon, but I doubt she can pull great ratings by herself. Sure, it's an attempt at the Jack format, but the "we play everything" deal is a bit overdone.

For you Carolina folks hating Magic the way you do, there sure are a lot of posts about it. This is page 12 on this thread, and a bunch more on the signal being distorted. If Carmen was the mid day lady, then I'd say good call in moving up to a proven Greatest Hits Winner, Pat Garrett. I followed his career down here in Florida, and heard him several times. He deserves his nomination for R & R Oldies Air Personality of the Year. The rest of the staff I have no idea about!
