So Depetro went to WRKO a while ago well i heard another fomrer HJJ'er on last night. The newswoman Sharon Smith. No wonder why the news sounds a little stiff over there. That guy in the afternoons is just so brutal. I now play a game to see how many times he can stutter during the newscast. Why didnt they pick up that Laurie Johnson?
 
Someone here said that Laurie Johnson barely wants to leave her house anymore. So I would say that the chance is extremely slim she's going to take two hours out of each day to commute to Boston and back.
 
that's pretty sad. Is she now becoming the story? "Woman does radio for umpteenth years suddenly quits & becomes a hermit" tonight on HJJ>
 
I worked with Laurie at WSAR in Fall River. She would always sneak up behind me and give me hugs while I was doing my show. Her and I always got along well, so I have nothing bad to say about her. She was always friendly to me. I've read some weird things about her on this board, but that's a side of her that I certainly never saw. So who knows? Maybe she'll be back (or) maybe she'll be one of those Radio people we never hear from ever again.
 
well i hope so because she was always ont he scene plus its always good to hear women on the radio
