HLS-FM?

iHeartRadio's website and app have a new stream currently up titled "HLS-FM Test Stream." Silent at the moment but I have no idea what is going to turn out to be. Since it is classified under New York radio stations on iHeart, this is probably going to be based in this market.

As of this posting, the HLS-FM stream is playing a slightly delayed simulcast of the iHeart 80s online-only stream.

Direct streaming URL to plug into a media player (copy and paste between the arrows only):

Maybe it's for a new 80's station in NYC like they did in San Francisco. Also there Iheart 80's on FM with DJ's.

Keep in mind that on the iHeart Radio site, many national "stations" appear under many local city listings,
even on city lists where one wouldn't expect there to be any sort of national presence.
Also, many of the national stations show up on many random city listings.

Thus, I could be wrong, but this may turn out being just another national stream that is not necessarily local to New York only.
Time will tell...
