Ho! Ho! HD Ho!

As of right now, B101's HD 2 is all xmas, WPEN's HD-2 is the old Now xmas tunes (complete with jingles and imaging), and WBEN's HD-2 is a straight simulcast, with the PAD data from ClubBEN instead of the Xmas song title/artist.

This is overkill, since its two months away from the freakin holiday. At least WOGL HD2 is still all 70's...

I was just going to post the same thing.. 95.7 HD-2 and 97.5 HD-2 does NOT go out anymore in lower bucks county(Levittown,pa) like it did last time I had HD Radio about 2 years ago they must of had a power up!!! same with B101. WOGL HD-2 is better then it was but still goes out and WYSP HD-2 just sucks NO power up there at all..

Just be glad it's only on the HD's so far. Normally they'd all be racing to see who could flip to all-Xmas quickest.

It MUST be a slow news day.

Eh...I was amused that the HD-2's of 97.5 & 101.1 both flipped, but pissed that WBEN's HD is the same as 97.5's since it is a good substitute for 106.1's lack of focus.

Don't worry...tomorrow some other GM in Jersey will be arrested for embezzling, or Elvis Duran will save some audience from having a live & local morning show. Summthin like that.

So I'm able to hear Now 97.5's Christmas music on my HD radio. On the top floor of a building, with my radio right next to a window facing southwest. And it still drops out.

b101.1s website has the christmas look

i think they are scared of another station flipping we will just have to wait n see

I love that Now 97.5 sounds almost exactly like Sunny 104.5, including the song they played a lot, Carpenters - Merry Christmas Darling.

Re: Ho! Ho! HD Sh*t!

Oh, great. So I have to avoid this insipid crap for the next two months before I get my Classical back on WPEN-FM-HD2???
Jesus Christ! (No pun intended....)

if b101.1 flips this week watch 95.7 or 106.1 beat em too it

"If" denotes a reactionary move, in which case 95.7 and 106.1 can't "beat" B 101 "if" the B goes this week.

Well, to be honest, at least WITF has vastly improved on their 90.1FM signal in the city and suburban areas--at least in Montgomery and Delaware County/Main Line region, for the most part...

Now we really have 3 Christmas station on HD because Ben FM HD-2 is NOT the same Christmas songs heard on 97.5 HD-2 like it was last week

The PPM's don't appear to list or to reflect HD-2, HD-3 stations ratings. How many people actually have an HD radio, even in a large metro like Philly/Wilmington/Trenton. This sort of brings back memories of AM Stereo. So until one of the "normal" FM stations flips, is it really much of an issue?

So maybe the better question would be, which station that reaches Philly with a city grade signal will flip first? WBEB, WJBR, WSTW, WOGL, WXTU, WMGK, BEN-FM, etc.

HD stations could show up in the Arbitron ratings if they attract a significant enough audience, just as station streams sometimes do. I believe there was one recent case of an HD2 channel actually showing up (I forget where, but I know it was a dance station). But for the most part, the audience just isn't there yet.
