Ho interviews Regular Guys

Rodney Ho did a great interview on TRG show today. They answered some tough questions without any spin. Sounds like they’re past their issues and the 3.0 version of the show is going to be great. Welcome back, and fu Steve. Yeah, C'mon!

I just realized that the subject line of this thread will look a little funny to people outside the Atlanta market…

Actually I thought he sounded very nervous and was told what to ask.

What, what ??? Sounded like anyone else not used to talking on the radio having to interview someone.

He has been on the dial before, and is also a journalist, so he knows what to ask without feeling like he was in the CIA, KGB, etc......

True, I've been with the Regular Guys before, but it's tough to do an interview in that environment because it's not neutral territory. It's their show, not mine. They're there to entertain and that's job one. If this weren't on the air and I were to sit with them one on one, the tone would have been more serious and their answers would have been less facile, more factual. And as Brett can certainly attest to, I'm no entertainer. That's why I do what I do and they do what they do. Nobody (including me) would want to hear me four hours a day. I'm just glad they're back on the air and I wish them well.

Sounded fine to me. I work behind the scenes in journalism and know I'd feel a bit off kilter talking live on a big radio station.

Brent is still upset that 100.5 didn't flip to oldies based on the groundswell of oldies listeners in Atlanta who do not get their fill of Little Richard so anything ROCK 100.5 does on air is going to be negative in his eyes.

Rodney i read ur article. thats cool they gave props to leslie.
i still hate them tho.

I listened to the interview and I though it was real good. They gave an accurate account of what goes on at CC.

Just heard the mp3. Ho did ask a couple of hard questions, but mostly it was Larry and Eric just being honest about personal issues. It's rare to hear that kind of 'inside' stuff on the air.
