My Radio Brothers:

A friend told me about all the posts concerning the 'cat'. I am here to dispell any rumors. We aren't changing to 'cat country'. A very upset listener emailed one of our sales people asking to make an announcement on the air about her lost tabby. I have two pets of my own, so I felt her pain and posted the announcement. There was no hidden meaning or anything. The internet posting was just a heartfelt gesture for a sad pet owner. By the way, if you had done your research on me, you would have found that at my last job, I often had the humane society on my show and frequently posted pictures of pets that were eligible for adoption. I have a soft spot in my heart for animals.

Thank you for all the suggestions on how to better program WRAX. But, until each one of you decides not to hide behind a anonymous username and talk to me like a radio professional, they will be ignored.

I'm not upset at the jabs and zingers. These boards are often misused for anonymous verbal ambushings instead of a place where people IN the radio industry can trade ideas and keep in touch with each other.

Good Arbitron to you all!

Kenny Wall, WRAX PD

Ken,

welcome to alabama and congrats on the work you are doing with WRAX.

don't believe much of anything you read on here, some of these people don't have much of a life, other are just sales people thinking they know what to do.

i know i'll get bashed for this all because i was a dumb board op, who just happened to be successfull at producing a top rated saturday night local request show.

KUDOS TO KEN WALL! A GUY WHO ACTUALLY USES HIS REAL NAME!!! ( OR AT LEAST-- HIS PROFESSIONAL NAME ) OTHER THAN JASON DAVENPORT AND ME-- I DONT THINK THERE ARE TOO MANY FOLKS HERE WHO DO.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH POSTING A PICTURE OF A CAT? THEY DIDNT STOP DOWN PROGRAMMING AND RASE MONEY TO FIND THE KITTY-KITTY. THEY JUST POSTED IT ON THEIR WEBSITE.

CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF-- PEOPLE WHO LIKE ALTERNATIVE MUSIC ARE ALSO HUMAN BEINGS---

THEY ARE NOT ALL NOSE PEIRCED GREEN HAIR AND DOPE SMOKERS.

I THOUGHT RADIO WAS HERE TO SERVE THE PUBLIC. NOW IT SEEMS RADIO IS JUST HERE TO SERVE THE STOCK HOLDERS. I FOR ONE AM IMPRESSED THAT THE PD OF A MAJOR STATION GAVE THE OK TO HELP A LISTENER.

YOU PEOPLE HAVE FORGOTTEN WHAT RADIO IS ALL ABOUT.

I notice that the notice is no longer on the site. I hope that means there was a happy ending and the cat was returned to his owner.

The person who started the rumor couldn't back it up with any substance anyway. I'm not even sure what station this stunt would have took place at. Couldn't have been in Bakersfield and KATM-Modesto has had its calls/slogan for far longer than 4 years.

WAIT KENNY!!!

KENNY SAID: "...But, until each one of you decides not to hide behind a anonymous username..."

WAIT KENNY, DON'T YOU ALSO USE A FAKE NAME... MANY OF US KNOW YOU BY THE NAME: DUBYA! At least Susan Groves and Dave Rossi used their real names.

Got rock? WRAX doesn't. If you spent less time playing Ace Ventura and more time playing Program Director, then maybe, just maybe ratings would return. But remeber, WRAX turned its back on the listeners first! So in the meantime, I bite my thumb @ THE X @ 100.5! Oh and please, please, play another marathon of Weezer's "Beverly Hills"!

I don't need 30 minutes of non-stop music, concert tickets, or soda-pop prize packages. I need good music!<P ID="signature">______________
