Holes In Their Alphabet.

Currently, Rock 101 WROQ is running one their oldest "Bait & Switch" shams; Classic Albums A-Z.
Truthfully, it is not a bad idea...if it could only be executed correctly. First off, let's give credit/blame where it is originally due. It's not the iddy of the current PD, the one before or even the one before, yet the hung like a toddler tutelage of some unnamed pencilneck Consultant, being paid(?) around that time period. You could say that Classic Albums A-Z creates the illusion that the station plays this large playlist on a normal basis, yet the public no longer falls for it. Yeah, I have enjoyed listening for the last few days, but my complaint is "Holes In Their Alphabet". I could name a length list of Albums that are not "Forgotten", but "Ignored". Here I'll name three: FOGHAT-"Rock & Roll Outlaws", URIAH HEEP-"Innocent Victim", MONSTROSE-"Warner Brothers Presents"; No Airplay for any of the three! The A-Z program is just incomplete, without these, and many other crucial Rock Albums. NO!...I'm not...I am not...not the only one that feels this way. You might even have a list of your own! I am not siding with THE ROAD or grinding ROQ, but do more than just polish the turd.
Remember the physics of realism: You can polish a turd, but it's still a piece of (sensored)!

Noticed that The Planet is doing something similar with its "Holiday Meltdown" -- playing the top 493 songs. What's ironic about it, is that a lot of the songs are ones they rarely play or ones that they shouldn't be playing at all (seriously, Kenny Wayne Shepherd on a station that calls itself "new rock"?). Thankfully, it doesn't seem to include any of the more classic rock tracks that they used to also play.

But considering their regular playlist, it's still mostly hard/active rock trash that they seem to think is popular.

Greetingz again, readers of this Topic, and many happy(Oh, no notta another)turkey sandwiches. While I'm here, I'll just add three more ignored, Landmark!...Rock Albums: If your gonna grant airplay to The Beatles, you gotta play BADFINGER, and their
"Straight Up"(produced by Todd Rundgren)was fabulous! RARE EARTH--"One World", from '72. ...and "Rainbow Rising", from
RAINBOW; Ronnie James Dio's finest vocal performance.
