Holiday 2012 PPM

Only one Cumulus station showed up in the ratings this time, 96ROCK with a 3.2 like December. The other four are not visible (including Warm98 which was doing Christmas music).

100.3 finished it's "Holiday" format with a 2.6

WAKW doesn't subscribe, so their Chrismtas numbers are unknown.

"Rewind" continues to drop.

"The Project" finally shows up in the ratings. Three month trend 0.8-0.8-0.9

That 2.6 is the highest rating WMOJ has had since they went on the air. I am not hearing a lot of buzz for The Fan yet and their commercial load is mostly PSAs.

Yes a lot of PSA's that they've said on their Facebook they will address. The Tom Gamble morning show is pretty good. According to their Twitter feed an afternoon local show will be starting "in the not so distant future."

The Fan will be fine as long as they get decent sales folks. Plenty of room in the sandbox. To take it up a notch they really need the cume boost of major league play by play. Not likely to happen soon.

Side note. I was lucky enough to be in radio rights talks with a pro sports franchise in a large market. Tried to convince them to dump AM for FM... I dropped my nano and cell on the table and showed them the FM tuner in each... A huge audience they will never reach on AM.. They didn't get it. Old boys will be old boys...

They can go after the Bengals after their radio contract with WLW, WEBN, WCKY ends after 2013 season, but the Bengals might want The Fan simulcasting with another station if they go that route. And if Radio One keeps the station, their options are limited. I can't see the Bengals being simulcast on The Fan AND The Wiz, or on 1,000 watt 1230-AM.

Not quite. Based off what I could find online WMOJ has earned as high as a 4.1 share (October 2011). It was routinely in the 3.0-3.5 range.

"Old School 100.3" won't have a true rating until the September's ratings come out (will cover August 15th-September 11th). The July ratings for Cincy will be out on 8/7 (covering June 20th-July 17th) and August will be July 18th-August 14th (the rating will be for the two weeks as The Fan and two weeks as "Old School").

I don't think current ownership understands what made the original Mojo so successful. Keith and his awesome crew at WGRR can rest easy....at least on that front
