Holiday Radio —an observation

The radio broadcasts today have kinda been bleh for a holiday. Sure some of the stations are featuring national programming that doesn’t get much coverage (I’m in the Oklahoma City market and some of the daypart VSiN and ESPN radio shows are running) but at least on the sports talk side, maybe those stations should have let the part timers have their moment to shine today and still have the main hosts take their day off.

That’s just my opinion

What you can hear isn't the same all over the country. There are some stations broadcasting live from military bases in their area. Some are doing holiday countdowns. Some are playing patriotic music. So it depends where you are and what you listen to. There are 16,000 radio stations in this country.

Everybody wants time off. The nationally syndicated hosts are better quality than local part timers.

The Thunder have the day off too. There's nothing to talk about until tomorrow.
