Looks like iBiquity is getting desperate ! :D

I just received one of those annoying pop-up ads from Panasonic promoting their latest "mobile electronics" or car radios. They sport iPod connectivity, Bluetooth, sirius/XM, LCD monitor, camcorder input and AM/FM.

But NO HD RADIO. This has got to be one of the worst roll-outs for a new technology I've ever seen.

You bet, what a joke it has been. Even the ads on radio, do not describe what HD Radio is, or any perceived benefits, which there are none. According to Ramsey, the HD Radio Cartel is ready to point the finger at broadcasters, for not promoting HD Radio, or not buying into this fraud. At least on Amazon, the HD Radio Cartel, or someone, has been playing around with the price of the Receptor HD, to bait customers, from $300 - $230. Now, that the price has been at $300 for a while, here comes the $25 - $50 rebates on HD radios - oh, what a coincidence ! :D

My wife is starting to get a flood of Christmas catalogs. She must be on every mailing list there is. She gets TONS of them.

So far, I've only seen one catalog with any HD radios for sale. That was an ad for the Polk Audio radio. I'm sure it is a very nice radio. For $599.00 it ought to be. But it is just one out of a flood of catalogs. I'll keep looking.

I'm sure we'll get tons more catalogs in the mail between now and December 25th, so maybe I'm premature, but so far it looks to me like the train has left the station for Christmas 2006, and HD is not on board.
