"...not dirty enough!". Holly's somewhat of an expert on the subject. Have you ever read her Facebook posts?
Surprising that anyone would hire her based on her public postings.

There are some...I mean many of us who have read and enjoy her posts. If you had any talent and humor you'd she what she provides, one thing you don't have ENTERTAINMENT. Enjoy your day's of reading liner cards, spending 10 minutes in the studio voice tracking your show. When you become entertaining, then you can talk all the smak you want. Until then, let Haze a PROFESSIONAL do her thing.
 
Funny, your line about liner card readers! I listened to her for about 45 minutes on Saturday and heard her, I think twice, where she basically did nothing more than that - read liners! The rest of the time it was all segues and production pieces! Not her fault, I understand - it's the format. And she's thrilled to be back on the air? For what? To open her mic a two or three times an hour?
 
I worked with Holly at K and used to sit in the voice track studio while she did her tracks. She always worked to make them sound fresh within the confines of the format, which isn't easy. I followed her lead and I think it made me sound better. She's better than radio deserves.

Most people would fall over in their chair if they knew how little these radio jobs pay. Hardly enough to be considered a hobby. As for what you can do on the air to make any kind of difference the last time I did it there was a weather break, a PSA break, both with a short jingle bed also a music bed to talk about the songs coming up (once and hour) and one place to talk between two songs (without stopping the music). This adds up to 90 seconds of mostly scripted content in an hour.

YOU CAN HAVE IT, RADIO IS DEAD. The computer runs everything humans are no longer needed.
 
wow, I haven't been on this site in over a YEAR!! Glad to see some things haven't changed. Per the norm, amfm has his facts wrong. What I said was "I saw X-Factor and Paula was no fun all sober and clean, Simon is his usual grumpy self and Randy looks different" knowing full well it wasn't Randy...just being silly. But thanks for attempting to quote me.
If I am friends with any of you on Facebook who are unhappy with my debauchery, kindly unfriend me. Most of it is for shits and giggles and not serious, but if it offends you, by ALL means, please exit my page. I will be scanning my friend list and eliminating some after this post. A cleanse is always nice.

Sounds like you need to clean out your "friends" on Facebook and shut off the public subscription button.

Don't sweat criticism from the faceless who lack the balls to post their real names. Anyone can bitch from behind a curtain.

I keep thinking look how popular Holly is. She's the only jock in town anyone is talking about! I'm envious!
 
Funny you say that....I do a podcast with Sarah Waters (formerly from WKKT) and Jen Byrum (formerly on WLYT) and they said "Hey no one is talking about us!!!". Maybe we should start a thread about them!
I do love the nice people on here...makes it worth logging in. The others, not so much.
 
Right on! It's about prime, er, time we started showing respect to radio exiles.
