Holston Valley is selling WMEV-FM, its AM (WUKZ) plus accompanying translator to Bristol Broadcasting, according to All Access -

So let's speculate on the "country" format - if this sale is approved, it would seem that WMEV's days as a country station could be numbered with the dominant WXBQ already in Bristol's stable. Could WMEV go all classic country - which I would love? Will Bristol keep the station in Marion and/or its transmitter site?
I wonder if the Marion sell-off by Holston is in any way related to the loss of ad revenue being felt by WKPT-TV after losing its ABC affiliation?
