holy Crap! K-rock is now playing Pantera!

Well,
If they continue to play harder edged stuff like this, I might just never consider getting satellite radio again!

Do you think they'll stick with it or go back to playing Pearl Jam and all the other overplayed 90s rock ?
They should go harder and throw in some NEW ROCK just play songs that are upbeat songs that really "hit it home".

Agreed! They should get a jump on the Mudvayne's King of pain, or even throw in some Killswitched or Atreyu (i think i mispelled it). Right now its ok, i find myself flipping more often cause there are just some songs that shouldn't be asssociated with K-Rock, but i'm liking some of the suprises. Lets wait and see.

hey I have submitted my playlist their website
If everybody who reads this submits yours they might play them. Look at the playlists so far that they gotten from listeners
be interesting on how eddie trunk reacts to k-rocks harder edged music

Which Pantera song did you hear K-Rock play? :) "Cemetery Gates"? "Cowboys From Hell"? "Mouth For War"? "Walk"? I remember Z-Rock used to broadcast on AM in NYC the early 90s, and they played some Pantera. Can't remember if Q-104.3 during its Active Rock phase played them as well.

Re: WAXQ did & could this be a sign of a format change?

I remember the origional WAXQ playing Pantera. I can't think of the name of the song they used to always play. I do remember it being mellow throughout though.
I hope this does not mean anything, but this may be a sign of a format change for WXRK. The reason I'm saying this is because WOCL, a CBS alternative rock station in Orlando with very low ratings that once had Howard Stern on it allowed the playlist to be loosened up greatly the last few days of that format. Someone posted on the Orlando board saying now they are playing the stuff that could have saved them as a rock station. They flipped to classic hits ala WCBS-FM but with less 60's and more 80's last month.
Getting back to Pantera though, Cemetery gates is an awesome song.
