Yeah kids, that's right. Uncle Art bagged a twentysomething bride already. Was talking about it during the first hour of his show. Amazing how this is the new " love of his life".
CoasttoCoastAM.com for details.

All I can say is " whatever ".

Hmmmm, where to start. Didn't hear the show last night, so just going from what's on the website. He didn't mess around in finding the new Mrs. Art Bell? That sure was fast!!! Been only 4 months since his wife died. Plus he's going to move to the Philippines to be with his new wife. So the questions is how long before he leaves the show again.....only to return again

I just read about it on allaccess.com and something just doesn't sound right here. His wife who he talked about all the time, never was without her, dies of an asthma, and now remarries and is going to move to the Philippines? Something just doesn't sound right here? When did he meet her (before or after Ramona died)? Who's idea was it to move to the Philippines? Is she here legally?

Um...If you had listened to his in-depth monologue Saturday night/Sunday morning, you would know how they came to meet, which was thru a mutual friend who happened to be a HAM.

Art is one messed up dude. When you marry someone 3 months after your wife dies, you are not thinking.

Its pretty obvious Art just wants a little nymphette to cook, clean, and service him.

Hope he had a pre-nup.

Where else, but in America could a but ugly 60 year old with lots of bucks marry a 20 year old hottie 3 months after the everlasting love of his life died.

Art deserves what he is gonna get from this relationship.

All these people bashing Art... wow. That's pretty cruel.

Here's how I see it: Art is at a stage in his life where he's depressed if he's alone. He wanted someone to share his life with, otherwise he wouldn't be happy with the very life he wants to share. I'm no psychologist, but from what I've heard listening to the show and reading various sources online, that's how this situation comes across to me. Art needed someone to care about.

Is it too soon? Well, quite frankly, who is anybody but Art Bell to say when it's not too soon? Different people can change and move on at different paces than others. We're all different. No two people are the same. Some might say it's been too long for me to have found someone to spend the rest of my life with, but that's not up to them. It's up to me. Same case here: Art was apparently ready to move on. That's his choice, no one else's.

If people on this board want to opine about how (ooh!) scandalous this is (sarcasm layed on thick), that's up to them. But to be thoroughly blunt, it's really none of your business.<P ID="signature">______________

I was driving back to LA from out of state last night and listened to Art for a bit. He actually gave a cogent, rational, alien-free version of what happened.

In synthesis:

He had a happy marriage. Statistics show people who lose a partner ina happy relationship tend to look for another relationship quickly.

He met a young (very young, in fact) lady through a ham operator. He felt it was time to make some adventuresome changes in his life before he fell into a deathly routine. He discussed his attitude toward change and risk taking.

He is moving to MetroManila, and going to do his show from there. He sounded like a person undertaking a new adventure, so, all I can say is, "good for him."

The black helicopters returned the second hour.

They were ambushed by Klingons on the way to Pahrump and have not been heard from. Apparently, Glenn will be moving to Nevada to form a transition team.

Re: Good for Art!

Obviously the Guy was lonely. It's an awful big step for him to make so quickly. Not just the marriage... but to pick up and Move to another Country! All for some chick he hasn't even known that long. No Doubt Art has had a hurt heart. If this somehow fixes that then more power to him. But slow down a little buddy before you end up hurt again.

Well, if you wanted to buy it, it's for sale, along with his trailer and probably his cache of guns.

Art Bell

The more compelling question might be: how long did he know this new gal? Not only marrying her so soon after his wife's death but making the huge decision to move with her to the other side of the world? It might make one think that this relationship has been going on for quite a while.
