Homeless Ted Williams

I was sitting around having my breakfast this morning and for some reason Ted Williams, the homeless VO guy came to mind. As I recall after walking out of rehab early, combined with rekindling the battles with family members, he seems to have completely vanished from the spotlight faster than he arrived.

Has there been any additional press on the story in Columbus, or has anyone seen Ted back on his freeway offramp?

The story reminds me of how many other people in radio have been on the same trajectory with no national spotlight. I have worked with so many, many individuals over the years, most of which have simply disappeared after having, at the very least, interesting careers.

The Today Show did an update interview with him a few weeks ago.  Here's the link, originally posted by gabigley1 in the "main" Williams thread "Work in Columbus radio? The talent you pass on your drive to work":

No surprise NBC, of all networks, does a follow-up on Teddy Pipes Game. If I recall, isn't he on NBC's payroll now, doing voiceovers for MSNBC?

I don't think so.  In the early days of the Williams hoopla MSNBC said they would have him voiceover for a spot in their "Move Forward" campaign, but they backed off with no explanation after some events and revelations started chipping away at the Williams luster.
