Hooray!! The Baseball Show is Back.

The Baseball Show will alternate Buckley and McAdam this season. Is this a cost savings measure? I hope this means the end of Bob Halloren, Butch Stearns, and Jermaine and Everett on weekends. Mutnansky was pretty good. Too bad they couldn't retire Mustard and Johnson and put him on Saturdays.

I liked Danielle Muir doing the sports flash. She used to do traffic reports on Ch 4. Adams gets on my nerves sometimes though.

How awesome was that to have it back on the air!!!!

I like Mikey, but I can see where people could get tired of him. I just happen to also be a goofball so maybe that's why I like him...

I wonder why the alternating though?

mikey has a lot of baseball knowledge.

i wish he would leave his yahoo act out of the baseball show.

EXACTLY! The problem I have is when he uses that buffoon-like voice which is reined in a little on this show but sometimes makes Planet Mikey unlistenable. He definitely knows his stuff.

I wish they could get Bradford and Mazzorati on weekends. As Red Sox crazy as Boston is, I think two baseball shows would work; one on Saturday morning and one on Sunday morning.

Actually, I might listen to Yankee Talk, as bad as Mustard & Johnson are, but they don't challenge the callers at all. It would be entertaining to hear them get beaten down. Say what you will about Pete Sheppard, but he wouldn't let Joey or Mike or the rest get away with the crap they pull on M&J.

I heard Joey, the fake gangster call Dale & Holley a couple months back, Mr. Nice Guy, Dale, ridiculed him and blew him up. The Yankee callers only call M&J, because neither are "mayaaannn enough" to stand up to them.

I would think that Jason Wolfe would recognize that having hosts crap all over these obnoxious callers would be entertaining radio. Of course, on the other hand, they'd probably stop calling after it happened a couple of times. However that wouldn't be a bad thing either.

I hope the Baseball Show isn't falling into the same trap as other weekend shows. This morning in the space of about an hour, Bill from New Hampshire, Steve from Fall River, and Screechy from Quincy called in. All three were given around ten minutes. When the rejects from all the other shows start calling and are given a lot of time you end up with Mustard and Johnson.
