I just picked up this station at 90.5 with a religous format, id'ing as Medford Lakes, the signal is like a local in Southwest Philadelphia. Driving around in the car, local signals are distored now and then by WMMR's signal, MMR chops in and out on most Antenna Farm stations in the surrounding Liberty One 6 mile area radius, on cheap stereos MMR bleeds up and down the FM dial.... but this station does not budge, clear and untouched, what are they running 100kw :)

That's WVBV, Medford Lakes. 21kw, vertical only, from a tower alongside the AC Expressway near the $2.00 tolls. You shouldn't be getting them that well, though; their pattern is shaped like a torpedo, aimed northwest-ish (toward Medford Lakes, natch). Maybe they mounted the DA backwards (ha ha).

They are still loud and clear today, I thought it might of been a fluke yesterday. Medford Lakes would of been acceptable with that signal (around 20 miles from me), but where you say they are transmitting is more like 40 miles away. A great signal for that distance, I seem to remember a few towers on the ACXW, near the Farley Plaza and Tolls, one large one on the right going east, then there is one in the Plaza itself and a cable televsion tower on the right going west. Why can't a great station like the RAT "WRAT" do something like this, so we can have something to listen to in Philly. :( On another note, why would the Xmtr be so far from the COL??

They're running 21,000 watts aimed almost directly at Philadelphia, um, I mean Meadford Lakes.

They're also transmitting from about 450 feet above the ground.

While they have a great signal twoards Philadelphia, um, I mean Meadford Lakes, they're sending a full 8 watts twoards the South.
