Hope to be on soon, but still need some help.

The non-comm station is at 91.9 and hopes to be on the air before the holidays.
We are seeking generous donations of the following items:

processor
eas unit

and finally.....a 4.5 to 5kw transmitter that has remote controllability.
I know that last one is a big order, but one never knows.

Thanks,

Do a search for Orban on ebay and chances are you can find a good processor. the EAS unit may be a bit harder to find, might have to shell out the bucks for one. I have also seen transmitters for sale on ebay too. Might get lucky.

The only "caveat" I would mention is that EAS units are supposed to get upgraded to new versions with the CAP protocol sometime in the near future. I don't know when myself, but keep hearing about it every once in a while. I would be wary of buying a new unit now that had to be replaced soon thereafter unless it was upgradeable. Perhaps someone with a large group of stations can loan you a spare unit if you're lucky?

I have a Hollyanne older unit, but it does have the new upgrade chip inside. Problem is it came with no power supply or interrupt unit so I haven't been able to fool with it yet.
