Hostage Drama At Discovery Channel HQ

What's with the aural "beeping" on most if not all of the live shots--
both LEO pressers and reporter standups?

Still evident on a CNN live shot in the 8 PM ET half hour.

A delivery truck can't have been backing up all these hours! ;)
 
Boy, I cannot wait to hear what Leno has to say tonight! Imagine Kate Gosselin, Animal Planet, and Cash Cab to be one of the punchlines!

It was on my local station (WABC) too.

He might throw "Dirty Jobs", "Mythbusters", and "Deadliest Catch" in too. I remember a young comic about 25 years ago who looked like a young Jay Leno, but actually had class.

In Lee's case, I have a feeling there wasn't a herd of women knocking his door down trying to get a slice.
That was really the root of his problems.

SWAT ultimately helped the overpopulation problem Lee dwelled upon by removing him from it.

I've never known a comedian who looked like Leno that had class.

Apparently that noise was a audible predestrian crossing signal nearby.
 
Of course, I later heard talk radio hosts skillfully turning this all in to "Obama's Fault"....something to do with one of the Cabinet people having written some "Green Manifesto" twenty years ago, that the gunman had once quoted from. Also, heard a couple of "Christian Networks" using it to espouse the view that the earth can "never have too many people", and we sin if we don't overpopulate.

God! I gotta quit listening to the radio ::) .
