Hot 101.5 Dance-Leaning?

I love that the new Hot 101.5 is playing dance remixes of Top-40 hits instead of the regular version.
Just my two cents from scanning the dial & seeing what the other stations are up to.
Now if only we can have "Party" back here in Orlando...

Dance leaning because they play a few remixes? Hardly... it's a way to keep momentum going and diversify the sound especially on records that you play often. Plus, if FLZ does NOT play those remixes... even better. (They may, I don't know... I haven't listened in a while)

FLZ does not play remixes in their regular programming rotation.

* FLZ plays a remix Ellie Goulding's "Lights" instead of the radio version; HOT plays a remix of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" instead of the radio version

* The original Cox-owned "Party" was WPYM-FM "Party 93.1" (now WFEZ-FM "Easy 93.1") in Miami/SoFla, although a jockless version of "Party" can be heard on its HD2 feed and its Internet stream; WPYO-FM in Central Florida is now "Power 95.3"

miami's party 931 still has their website and internet music feed up with songs played listed. BTW on the weekend they do have regualr mix shows by TOP DJ's www.party931.com

Pretty sure 95-3 Party (WPYO/Orlando) was the "original" Party. The Miami version was later.

Not sure if I'm correct here, but I believe Phil left WPYO to start up the Miami party shortly after. Could be wrong, it's been a few years.

Byron

yes that is correct, he is also the PD of the current 2008+ rebirth of party931 miami
