HOT 101 should be moved to the Mediabase Hot AC panel

This whole thread makes me laugh. What difference would it make? It wouldn't make one to their listeners. Last time I checked, that's all that matters. This, of course, doesn't even approach the idea of how a station's presentation fits in.

My local Hot AC station in Milwaukee(WKTI) plays both 4 Minutes and No Air

My semi local Fringe Hot AC, which is B-102.7 Terre Haute plays every one of those songs except for Lollipop,,, Also look at Q-102 Cincinatti, and Z-995 Indianapolis.......... Other than LIL Wayne...Why wouldnt a Hot AC play these songs?????????

Not questioning playing ANY of those songs...in some cases, even all of those songs could make sense. But all of them in the top 20 of this station's playlist?

I'm not suggesting they mirror the Hot AC chart, but with only ONE of those songs in the top 20 of that chart, that's a pretty big disparity to suggest that there's an intensely compelling arguement that this station should move to that panel.

I think the confusion came when you asked if the OP Knows a Hot AC station playing any of those songs....and looking at the list everyone of those except LIl wayne makes sense on a hot ac station.

All of those except for "Take a Bow" & "Realize"...have been in power on my local Hot ac(WKTI)..the only ones they have not played at all is "Take A Bow...which I am surprised at since they have played most of Rihanna's songs at one point or another...and that is a slower one.

You might change your mind if you look at some recurrent/gold heavy HOT 101 logs, especially in the day. There is little rhythm except at night. It sounds like a Hot AC except a few songs at night.

Most, I would assume, will not change their mind mind based on their GOLD records. And, I doubt that an email from you is going to change their mind. The only way the station is going to get moved is if there is enough outcry from the record labels...and that isn't going to happen because they are playing the current CHR hits...gold DOES NOT MATTER...just to closed minded people on a radio message board.

By the way, why would the PD from the Cumulus Country station in Sioux Falls, SD (which is YOU, correct? You are employed by Cumulus), make a fuss on a public forum about a station within the company??

I would run the idea by Jan Jefferies before you email mmr24/7.
