Hot 102.7 FM does poor editing to their hardcore rap songs they play!

There's a song by Lil Wayne they always play called A milli. Everytime they play that song you can actually hear a curse word that starts with a m in that song because they dont completely beep it out.

I think 102.7 is trying to be a hardcore rap station on purpose. i know they got to be aware of this.

On the other hand hand FM 98 WJLB does a perfect job of editing curse words in the rap songs they play.

You realize that those edits are provided by the record companies, right? At least 97% of them are from the record companies and those edits are intentional on how much they can get away with. It's up to the radio stations to police themselves. There was an edit of Alanis Morissette in 1995 of "You Oughta Know" in which the "F" word was more prominent than the other versions. It was closer to being the full word than not. Stations played, although I don't think they would play that version today.

Just like Avril with "Hell yeah I'm the motha f***in princess"...if they didn't want 5 year olds singing the cuss words, kick the edit on right before "motha" an after "...kin"...or better yet have a totally different version..."and heck yes I'm a potty mouthed princess" :D

It's not the station's editing. Most of the time it's the record companies editing. It MAY even go down the Company Level. the larger companies Radio One and CC Edit them on their level and most stations there pull the song from a Master Computer Database. I'm pretty sure I seen an article stating at least Clear Channel, all their stations pull songs from 1 master Database
