HOT 103.5 Huntsville weekend schedule

I haven't listened to HOT 103.5 much on the weekends. Does anyone know what their programming line up is during the weekends? Do they have any weekend syndicated programming at all? I called the evening dj at the station and told him they needed to add Dawson McAllister Live to their Sunday night schedule to draw in more of the 13-25 crowd.

Wouldn't that essentially represent a break in format? It'd probably seem very out of place on WHWT.

Not necessarily. Many of DM Live's affiliates appear on Hip Hop and Rythmic stations. Although it is a talk program, the reason DM Live is mostly on Hip Hop and Top 40 stations is because those are the stations that bring in the most teens and young adults. I mean, how many 18 year olds do you know who listen to Dr. Laura or Rush Limbaugh on a regular basis?

I've looked at the DML affiliate list, and all I see are CHRs and Hot ACs--I don't see an urban station on the list. It'd seem like the show might have a better run (and a bigger intended audience) on 104.3 WZYP.

I do agree that DM Live would be better on WZYP, especially since WZYP has 100,000 watts. However, there are some hip hop stations on the affiliate list, such as 96.3 the Beat in Charlotte or WBVD 95.7 Melbourne, FL.
