Hot 105.9

Probably nothing in Rockford or Madison.

The only reason why WKPO got any ratings in the first place was because it offered something different to the market that none of the stations in Rockford or Madison embraced. Both 97.5 and 104.1 are rock-leaning top 40s for the most part.

Good Karma pretty much forfeited any ad dollars from the two cities with this move, but will probably fare better than they ever did selling local to Janesville and surrounding communities. I wonder if they ever considered moving the rhythmic CHR format that 105.9 had to the fledging 100.5 in the Madison area. 100.5 has a slightly better signal in the city and will probably do much better than their current Fox Sports format.

I don't think it will hurt the X or The Eagle for that matter... I get Classical music from 105.7 and it splatters worse than fried sausage at IHOP so I won't be turning off Sirius to check them out... CC1
