HOT 106 GOING LOCAL MORNINGS?

The theater was built in 1929 and destroyed in 1973. Just before that WALE moved to a building on Rock Street with a new transmitter site, up to 1-kw from the original .25-kw from a site in a swamp behind a housing project which is, itself, being torn down (the project, not the transmitter site). The station was sold to the owners of WSAR and the studios were combined and the call letters changed.

Current morning show is Big Boy which doesn't go well at all with the styles of the rest of the daytime crew.

I didn't know that. I know Big Boy was on a radio station further down south but then changed to Ricky Smiley. Maybe Hot 106 could try Ricky Smiley.
