Hot 93.3 Dallas Tabs Mason As Morning Host

Prior to this Susan ‘Mason’ Moussette was in Seattle on KQMV prior to being cut in 2020.

I’ll hand it to Cumulus, they’ve had unwavering dedication to CHR on 93.3 minus a few changes in direction for over 10 years despite fairly consistently poor numbers over that time.

Yawn. Probably could've kept it as Rhythmic AC or Urban circa 2014 or try a shot at Urban AC.

I'm still surprised that Cumulus didn't sell this station to EMF (as a part of a deal a few years ago) and make it a K-Love station (despite we have KLUV but could have worked with CBS/Entercom/Audacy to still keep the KLUV name just like Univision did in Los Angeles). To me, 93.3 is just dead air as I do miss The Zone, Merge, and The Bone.

But like someone said a while back, this is about Cumulus' plan to bring down Kiss' ratings by putting The Wolf or KSCS on top (even though it sometimes doesn't work). And I still find it funny that they have slightly better ratings/cume than ALT.

The Univision deal involved stations in two different formats and languages. I really doubt that Audacy would allow another English language station to share a name, particularly when the two formats are very similar... one religious AC and the other secular AC.

Not sure why K-Love calls itself AC, it's more pop/rock sounding.

Of course another Urban AC radio station that can't be heard in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

93.3 isn’t a flamethrower, but its 60dbu hits most of the market. It’s not a rimshot.

Unless news/talk continues its downward trend, I do feel 93.3’s ultimate fate will be WBAP on FM (again), unfortunately.

I agree and doubt K-Love is headed to DFW anytime soon. However, it is worth pointing out that Audacy operates "The Wave" in Los Angeles while Calvary Chapel operates a religious "K-Wave" in the same market, so it wouldn't be completely unprecedented.

93.3 is a better signal than it looks on the map in my real world experience. I also think Urban AC would do really well on the signal.

I just wonder how well would an R&B Adult station on a full signal do in this market?
Very Well... KRBV/V100 did very well until the tower fell in Oct. 1996.
