Hot 93.3

Like my point in the other thread, the stations 00s playlist seems to focus on the tail end of the 00s and bleeds into the 10s or the very beginning of the decade (90s sounding runoffs.)

That’s such a weird article! I had to look at the date of the article a few times to make sure it was recent. The article says that Hot 93.3 has expanded its 90’s playlist to now include hits of the 2000’s. What?!! And I appreciate KNON, but a “well curated playlist”? Going from Spanish to dance to rap to metal? I guess if that’s what you call curated…lol

And I think “The New” has finally been dropped with the format change. Their imaging just says “Hot 93.3”. I think the main logo on their website also used to say “The New Hot 93.3”, but it now shows “Hot 93.3”. However, there are still parts of the website that show the logo or text with “The New Hot 93.3”. The HD logo hasn’t been updated yet.
I still say they need to ditch the name "Hot". I don't believe "The River" has ever been used here, and after all, we do have the Trinity River....

I think they need to just use their call letters and frequency is would be the best in my opinion KLIF 93 those are legendary call letters in Dallas Fort Worth.

Regarding their format maybe a gold based hot ac/chr.

Regarding the evolution of KLIF-FM, they may not be done yet -- I see that they've mostly phased out their currents over the past week, so perhaps a name change away from "Hot 93.3" is also coming. With a very different set of songs, this actually does remind me of the way that KZPS evolved away from Top 40 to Classic Hits and finally to Classic Rock back in the eighties.

Unfortunately, those call letters are not legendary for anyone whose musical taste extends past the early seventies.

What about Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam etc?
Oh, can you imagine seguing from Man In the Box or Rooster to Tearin' Up My Heart? Even back in 1999, that will be considered a trainwreck. Even adult hits stations today have to be careful in their timing; despite the "we play anything" monicker, they won't segue from polka to 2 Live Crew or NWA.

What about adding some 80’s? I heard them playing “Fight For Your Right “ by the Beastie Boys the other day.

33rd place.

Hot 93.3 sounds terrible. It's all over the place, and let's face it, it just isn't going to compete - at all - with KISS. (Or any other station for that matter.) 50% of the imaging is in Spanish. Yeah, that's werkin'!

It should go rock, promote the hell out of it, hire a high profile morning show - and make constant fun of what happened to the Eagle. The music shouldn't go back any further than the late 90's.
I don’t think anyone will flip to rock. I‘m pretty sure competing radio companies in town that listen to 97.1 for more that 2 minutes don’t seriously expect sports (I forgot theyre not a sports station) as their long term format

What were they doing playing Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On? Doesn’t even fit the format they play it at 3:55 today
