Hot 93 HD-2?

I thought Hot 93 had old school hiphop on HD-2? Theres no subchannel right now.

Is there something wrong with thier HD power? I know its only 1% coverage of analog, but I am 30 miles south of Austin, I can get KFMK's HD at 59-62db and Hot 93's is 53-55db. Not even enough to stay locked. I'm just using a simple dipole right now. Just for Austin HD/Radio.

Don't forget 93.3's tower is in Liberty Hill... a holdover from their days of being licensed to Killeen.
It will be hard for the HD signal to make it to Austin much less San Marcos.

The digital signal is good throughout Austin. It might have even improved reception in downtown due to the typical multi-path issues with the obstructing buildings.

San Marcos is likely to be very spotty though.

Close, but not quite. HD has 1% of the power of analog, which makes for substantially more than 1% of the coverage.

What little experience I've had with HD radio is that, for FM anyway, it works about as well as advertised. If you're within the city grade signal contour, you should have no trouble picking up the HD (though there may be some isolated drops in some areas), but it's going to be hit-or-miss outside the city grade contour.

Yep, that pretty well much sums it up. I've been using HD for about a year now (off and on) But all and all, analog is much more at ease of picking up.
