Hot 95.7 ties KRBE

Latest PPM shows Hot Hits 95.7 tied with KRBE with 4.9!

Is CBS actually and finally doing something right? Their Stations that switched to CHR in LA (AMP 97.1) and New York (NOW 92.3) have seen consistent growth. In San Francisco, KMVQ, MOViN 997 (Maria Todds former station) has surpassed KMEL and is on the heels of their rival KYLD,WiLD 94.9.

Maybe CBS is finally doing something right. A nice adult 25-54 lead with KILT over KKBQ finally and up numbers for Spanish KLOL.

Goobervision,

Try to calm down and not get so angry . I'm ITALIAN just like you, so I know it's hard when you get so passionate about something. Maybe you should take a walk. The snow in NY/NJ does make it hard, but I think they have traction devices you can put on your sneakers. Hopefully, you will take my advice so you don't have heart problems when you are 40!!!!

Take care,

Nicole

HAHA... Lucky for me I'm over 40 and now living in North West Texas. Don't get the NY/NJ reference though... but I am a bit slow in my old age. Ok, I'm taking a walk now...

Goobervision,

What a small world!! I went to Tech. I know that area really well. Do/did you work in Lubbock, or maybe Amarillo, or maybe Abilene? Channel 95 is a great station in Abilene. They did have a guy voicetracking who sounded like he had someone underneath the console when he was talking. His voice would go up and down and get squeaky. I'm old like you. That kind of voice appeals to teen girls and women who use "like" 20 times in a sentence . I'm surprised you're over 40. I would have thought you were like 29 or so!!! BTW, if you are in one of the cities I mentioned, can you take a picture? I have not been back to that area in 18 years and would love to see how it looks now. Thanks!!!

Take care,

Nic

Sadly, the same thing has happened in Lubbock and Abilene as most decent sized cities... divided by freeways, then loops suck all the business (and the personality of the city) out of the center. They've been turned into donuts. Happened to my small hometown, too. I guess that's an older guy's opinion, but I used to love downtowns. Suburban malls are just too much alike... no personality.
