HOT 96.9

You're right. We do. But, you're entitled to your opinion. Even if it's the same opinion 142,985 times. That's what makes America great.
LOL. so true

Hot 96.9 throwbacks are limited to a safe list of 90's songs and the rare safe 80's song, nothing adventurous.  The music mixes are also safe songs and no scratching or other sound effects, boring.  The new music is heard on three other stations.  No station in Boston has gotten me to switch from Sirius/XM for more than a few minutes except 1030 WBZ.

When is Hot 96.9fm going to expand their DJS? At least add a mid-day and night jock. Maybe also some syndicated shows and a fill in Dj at least. The station is getting boring with just Baltazar, Pebbles, and Melissa all the time.

I wouldn't count on them ever doing so. Greater Media doesn't seem to view DJs in every shift as a necessity (or at all, in the case of WBOS). Look at WROR -- they've been without a jock in midday (and in the evening?) for years.

Was also disappointed they had no all day mix yesterday for the 4th. Put them on at a party and they were just doing their regular automation. Meanwhile once we put on Jam'n they had it's "All Star Mix Weekend" in full effect, with a full lineup of mix DJ's. It was actually fun to listen to...they had some great tracks and mixes going. I put on 96.9 again and it was that same damn Maroon 5 song they play every 30 min.

Listen to GM's WROR and WMJX and you hear the same thing: tight, meticulously researched, unadventurous playlists. And it works. Why would they vary from that conservative but profitable programming strategy on 96.9?

Don't forget, 96.9 also has Roy Barboza, hosting the Throwback Lunch every day at Noon and a mix hour around 5pm. So really, on any given weekday, it's just 10am-Noon, 1-2pm, and 7-midnight that are without jocks. Is that really a problem? There are hosts behind the microphone at all the times when the most people are listening.

There is a live body in studio 24/7 on 96.9 weither you hear them or not btw, and Still Commercial free does not get thrown in there before a commerical seg to let you know music is rolling on... And I am sure by the end of the year more on-air line ups will be added. Rhythmic AC does not mean Urban either.

What!? WBIMDJ said something positive about Jamn 945! This day in radio history. ;)

On another note cc REALLY needs to do something about the music bumpers on Iheart. The Future followed up by Taylor Swift is not a good sound.

HAHA! Well they stepped up their game this 4th with the awesome nonstop mixing! Give me something good to talk about and it's all good :) ;)

96.9 is starting to get a bit stale. I don't understand how many more times we can hear "Catch My Breath" or any of the Maroon 5 songs in rotation. The throwbacks are the same throwbacks from when the station first started. There are 1000s of songs out there. PLEASE throw something different in the mix.

Exactly how I feel. I LOVED the station when it first came on. It was refreshing. But they've become complacent since the ratings have been good. A huge mistake. Keep mixing it up!

with you last two, I agree. That's why I say, but nobody likes it and disagree with me. With that name "HOT" they should, besides what they play now, play more new Urban AC
