Hot 97 begging listeners to purchase Summer Jam concert tickets

Hot 97's air personalities are begging listeners to purchase Summer Jam tickets for tonight's concert at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The concert features Mary J. Blige,T-Pain,Young Jeezy,Jim Jones,Juelz Santana,Jadakiss,Ron Browz,DJ Webstar, a bunch of Reggae groups, etc.

The station started advertising this concert a few months ago. I wonder why the arena isn't sold out yet.

I remember in 2003, Summer Jam was THE event for people in my high school to go to. I also remember Q102 in Philly giving away Hot 97 Summer Jam tickets.

Show is Crap? I guess that's why it sold out Giants stadium! I think 50,000 people thought it was decent enough to fork over $40 to see it.

Here in ATL, our Summer Jam (HOT 107.9's Birthday Bash) is June 20th. So far..Soulja Boy, Plies, Gucci Mane, OJ The Juiceman, Keri Hilson, Rick Ross, Trey Songs, Pleasure P, Lil Will, GS Boyz and more. This is the first year without T.I. :(

Was just checking out Billboard's Top 200 Albums. There is only 1 Hip-Hop artist in the Top 10 (Eminem).

I guess Jay Z's song "Death of Autotune" isn't just a song.

It's not sold out, hence why DJ's are begging people to buy tickets. You can't fill Giants Stadium unless you have a strong headliner and strong support (which this show lacks).

Sometimes, the Giants have trouble filling Giants Stadium when they're bad. I believe the capacity of Giants Stadium is over 80,000. 50,000 people won't even fill Rutgers Stadium.

HELLO!!! It DIDN'T sell out. That is the whole point of this posting. The lineup is simply not good enough to overcome the economy.
