Hot 97 Boston Coming Back This Fall!!!

Considering that WTKK is on 96.9, but one channel away, this is most certainly a pirate. They'd be much better off on 97.3 or 96.5

Hip Hop and Less Talk ( cut into 96.9 ) . I love It ! This will be the best pirate ever ! This countdown is better than New Year eve !

Alert the feds. Illegal, illegal, illegal. (I just e-mailed Greater Media. Advance notice of a station
about the break the law. Going on the air in Boston at the adjacent frequency to WTKK?
These guys are either very brazen or very, very stupid.

"Ain't no stoppin' us now" (a midi file of the McFadden & Whitehead hit) plays in the background as
this apparent pirate station "counts down" to its debut (49 days from now). "We the best" the
site proclaims (hey, what grade did they get in English?)

>>They'd be much better off on 97.3 or 96.5

WJFD New Bedford or WMLL Manchester NH might have a complaint there.

" We the best " Phrase come from a famous Rap/DJ producer from Florida (DJ Khaled) .

Then again, the mayor of Boston doesn't always speak the King's English if you know what I mean :)

Illegal is illegal. If McCain or Obama are up there on the podium on Jan 20 being sworn in by the Chief
Justice of the Supreme Court, and I run up there and
say, "You guys are crazy! I'M the President because I say so!" does that mean I was elected? No.
Just because these guys claim to be legal broadcasters does not mean they are legal in the eyes
of the FCC. I'm Bob "raccoonradio" Nelson. And I approve this message!

And further perpetuating the sterotype that all rappers are inarticulate…good representation of the African-American community!

Pretty foolish planning to put a pirate on a first-adjacent to a full-power local Class B with a transmitter just a few miles away.

Unless they're planning to run some huge wattage for a pirate, they will have interference from adjacent WTKK in much of the area that they're planning to serve, if they even end up making it onto the air at all.

They probably turned on 97.1, heard WTKK's IBOC hash, and thought it was just pure static... This should be interesting, if it's real.

Well the site says the new station premieres in just under 7 weeks...but indeed it would be ridiculous
to have it so close to 96.9. The only way to have a Hot 97 might be to have hiphop fans call
or e-mail Greater Media and ask them to flip WTKK's format...

...which they won't.

good idea to have it put back on 97.7, but my idea, is put ABC Radio Network "The Touch" on 97.7 24/7, simple as that!!!

ABC Radio Network "The Touch" been around since .....??? around mid 90s. So, they are the Original, and ........hmmmm???, more, professional sounding. They play a good variety of R&B and Oldschool R&B. It would be the best move, if Entercom did that

that's just my idea

no room for aLPFM inside 128. If under 100 watts TTK.s IBOC will blow it out of the water. Maybe Rapking has a friend in Web Design who pur up the site just to get a raise from all of us.
