Hot 97 live stream

DarkHadou said:
thanks but that's not Hot 97, it doesn't have Angie Martinez, Lisa Evers and the rest of the crew.

The stream listed above is a "tribute site/stream" to the "Original Hot 97" of approximately 1988-1993 before the format morphed from rhythmic/dance music to hip-hop/r & b in 1993-1994.

The one link that did work temporarily a few months ago for the "current Hot 97" was this one (as of this writing it is not working):

http://www.streamaudio.com/stations...n=WQHT_FM&Mac=No&OptIn=&Streamtype=&filename=

As has been discussed in previous threads on this board (search: "Hot 97 Stream", for example), for whatever reason (economic?), Emmis Communications has decided not to stream the audio directly from the websites for what are arguably some of their top stations in the U.S.: WQHT-FM-97.1 New York "Hot 97"; WRKS-FM-98.7 New York "KISS FM"; KPWR-FM-105.9 Los Angeles "Power 106" (there may be more). Meanwhile, Emmis does stream audio for some of their other stations, such as WRXP-FM-101.9 New York "New York's Rock Experience" & KMVN-FM-93.9 Los Angeles "Movin 93.9", amongst others. The list of stations owned by Emmis Communications & ways to contact them if you wish:

Hey, the kid asked for a Hot 97 stream, he didn't say which one. Don't shoot the messenger.

man, Hot 97 sucks, they do not stream online AND their stupid site is garbage. I went there to listen to the podcasts and they do not even work. THE ONLY REASON why I want to listen to Hot 97 is to listen to Lisa Evers, Street Soldiers show that is only on 1 hour a week, on Sunday. I EVEN called Hot 97 and told them that their podcasts do not even work. I guess those idiots do not care if their site works or not.
