Hot 97's New Years Mixmaster Weekend

I just wanted to say I listened to Hot 97 during their New Years Mixmasters weekend and it really showed that they are THE TOP HIP-HOP STATION in NYC!! The combination of Hip-hop, R&B, Reggaeton, Reggae and Old School (Funk Flex's old school mixes in particular) really showed me that Hot 97 is on top of their game! Power 105.1 might have Star & Buckwild (I like them way better than Miss Jonesy) to boost their ratings but Hot 97's DJ's blew my mind this weekend!

Keep up the good work Emmis!!

Emmis pretty much does this with a lot of their hip-hop stations, Power 106 in Los Angeles and Power 92.3 in Phoenix with its "Valley Caliente Power Mix Weekends."

HOT 97 is a power house hip, hop station and eclectic at that. It's amazing that in this day of cookie, cutter hip, hop stations that they continue to be rather cutting edge, especially on off hours.
People are constantly complaining about the state of radio and it's bland overly commercial, safe stations but regardless of what your musical preference or favorite format is, let's give credit where credit is due!
.......and HOT 97 deserves alot!
