How is it that there multiple stations of Urban, Urban AC, Spanish, AC in this market but no one has deliviered a female driven Hot or Modern AC format to South Florida. True that WRMF reaches Miami.

Spanish is a language, not a format. There are as many or even more format possibilities in Spanish as in English. With the market half Hispanic, and 60+ percent of Hispanics being Spanish dominant, it's logical to have the number of stations we have, and to expect more.

Spanish IS a format when you don't understand the LANGUAGE. Just kidding, couldn't resist!

Remember Planet Radio 103.5?? Remember what a failure that was?? That was your Modern AC in South Florida.

As for *Rhythmic* AC (with its' potential appeal to Miami born Hispanic-American young adults), I've been of the opinion there is a large hole for it here, but maybe that's just my opinion.

Rhythmic AC can and will work. Take the best elements of the old Y-100, I95 & HOT 105 add Bill Tanner, or Keith Isley? as a consultant and walla...success. Mega 103 didn't work because it was boring and the 125 songs it played burned out FAST. You can't use the stand CC "rhythmic AC" template in South Florida and expect it to work. However I thing the station got a little over a 2 share 12+ which was not bad. I don
t know what it did 25-54.

97.3 appeals to women during the week (I could care less to listen to the garbage during the week) The weekend is when I listen. Give me the 80s ANY day!

Does anyone know the difference in the ratings from the weekdays / weekends? Are the rating good for The Coast over the weekend?

I wouldn't be surprised if they we're pretty high, considering WRMF dumped the 80s weekend. WRMF has gone down the tubes since Hilliard sold it. The idiots who run it right now are literally running it...into the ground. It's ok, they canned Paul Cavanaugh, and he came to WFTL.
